justplainsomething asked: Is there one DC character you really wish you could be drawing the series for right now?

There’s a bunch, Nightwing, Booster Gold, Aquaman, Batman, Superman, Supergirl…. how about all of them?

officialbizness asked: Batfam, cyborgs, whatever. As long as it's drawn by ~you~, Mr. To. ♥~(‘ω‘人) (seriously, love your stuff regardless of series)

Thanks! That means a lot

titusmajor asked: I literally have so many questions for you about Tim Drake as Red Robin. But I don't want to be weird and bother you too much @_@ How did you come up with the clothing ideas for Tim? I am just so in love with them. And any comment on Tim and Tam's relationship? And her clothing Ideas?

Hmmmm, the clothing ideas came mostly just thinking about age. College girl, younger sister, fun. I tried to think of all of that. That said there’s still way more to learn when it comes to stuff like that. Tim and Tams relationship though I thought was a good idea, I mean at that age sometimes you just start feeling for the person that you spend the most time with naturally. Tim’s clothes I thought more about sheer practicality more than anything. Tim would rather go un noticed than be flashy in civilian wear.

the-natbat asked: (Also, thanks for drawing women to look like women, not sexual objects.)

Shoot, I thought I WAS drawing women as sexual objects. Damn i need to rethink what I’m doing! ;)

the-natbat asked: Hello! I love your work. I was just curious, because I'm really fascinated by the wide world of comic-making, how did you get into drawing comics? And what is it like? Is it much like a movie, where there is a story board and you work with the writers? Sorry, asking too much, just, like I said, it all seems so cool. Your work is beautiful, thanks for everything. Have a good one :]

To tell you the truth every artist is different, some  people work closer to the writer, others don’t even talk to the writer. In general though I break down my pages through page layouts but I did storyboard like layouts before as well. It’s not very glamorous of a life since pretty much all I do is draw sleep and try to get some exercise in. Being chained to a desk for 10-12 hours is a norm.

smearedblack asked: Any tips for a young Illustrator interested in working in comic books?

Work on your storytelling, life drawing and don’t stop. You have to have the drive to get over the hurdles

semicolinn asked: Now that Boston Comic Con has been rescheduled for early August, would it be something you'd be interested in attending? Inquiring minds, such as mine, would like to know.

Still no plans, sorry. All my money will be spent going to Heroes and SDCC.

davidhasaharding asked: Just wanted to let you know that I LOVED Cyborg 009 and am telling all my friends and customers to buy it.

Thank you so much! You’re too kind :D

babybirdblues asked: Hello Mister To! I would like to say thank you for being you. That may seem a bit awkward, well, okay I know it does - but what I mean is, thank you for taking the time to share with us great art. Thank you for taking the time to share with us stories. Thank you for taking the time to talk to us and blog with us. You don't have to but you still do. I for one really appreciate that. So yes, thank you.

I appreciate your message, I should thank you guys really, I only really do this cause of all the awesome attention I get on Tumblr. Heck I even feel bad if I haven’t posted anything in a week. So I feel TERRIBLE when I don’t get to my inbox in a long time.
